Kids’boxes of kindness for Christmas time
Two of Santa’s little helpers prepare to send a little bit of Love in a Box as pupils at Bellsquarry Primary School spent two weeks filling over 100 shoes boxes to send to Romania.
The parcels contained presents for both children and adults ranging from toothpaste and shaving foam to toy cars - and some of the children even included a photograph and letter from themselves.
The boxes would then be loaded onto trucks and taken over by a church-led charity group.
Primary One pupils Christopher Wilson and Kirsty Haigh were pictured in the November 26, 1998 edition of the Courier with the boxes they had collected.
