Come along to check out the various stalls including crafts, Christmas goods and much more. Entry is free and tea tickets are now on sale priced only £3 or £1 for children. Holmes Gardens Christmas Fair Saturday 8th December 2pm -4pm Tickets £3.00 which includes Tea coffee and cakes. We have a tombola stall, Christmas gift stall, home baking stall with lovely Christmas cakes. Big Christmas Raffle with lots of prizes including drinks hamper and food hamper. Come along and join us for a festive afternoon. Broxburn & Uphall Christmas Events Programme for 2018 has been announced, this year the events start on December 1 with Christmas Fairs being held at Uphall South Church Hall and Broxburn Parish Church Hall. December 1 is also National Shop Local day, see the Christmas events brochure being delivered by Royal Mail for festive period special offers from BUTA members. The main events will take place on December 8 with a Christmas Market in the old Scotmid store, Santa’s Grotto (with face painters and balloon modelling) in Broxburn Parish Church Hall, Christmas Tree Lights switch on at Broxburn (outside old Library building) and Christmas Tree Lights switch on at School Place, Uphall. The Bridge 19-40 Union Canal Society will also be running Santa boat trips on the Union Canal during December (weather permitting). All trips must be pre-booked, tickets can be booked More informatio­n can be found at www.buta.org.uk/news1. htm Christmas Fair Broxburn Care Home (opp fire station) Lumsden Court would like to invite everyone along to their Christmas Fair on Sunday December 2 2pm-4pm where we will have a visit from Santa for the kids to come along and see, Raffles and lots more please feel free to share this. All money raised will go towards our residents activity funds. Gentle Health Walk Meet at Broxburn Strathbroc­k Centre every Wednesday from 10am. All welcome to come along. Bridge 19-40 Union Canal Society We are registered charity and are all volunteers. The ever popular Santa Boat Trips will run again this December. Departing from Port Buchan in Broxburn, we’ll cruise along the Union Canal on narrowboat “Bluebell” looking for Santa. If we sing Jingle Bells loudly enough he may spot our boat and come on board to say hello. Fun and refreshmen­ts for everyone and a present from Santa for the children. Choose from one of 4 dates: Saturday December 1 and Sunday, December 2; Saturday December 15 and Sunday, December 16. Four trips each day at: 11am, 12 noon, 1pm or 2pm. Maximum 12 passengers per trip.
