Macmil­lan @ Strath­brock Part­ner­ship Cen­tre Can­cer In­for­ma­tion and Sup­port Ser­vice-Our ser­vice of­fers any­one af­fected by can­cer ac­cess to in­for­ma­tion and sup­port and wel­comes vis­i­tors with a friendly smile and a lis­ten­ing ear. You may have can­cer your­self, be a rel­a­tive, friend or carer of some­one with can­cer, or maybe you just want to find out more about can­cer. We pro­vide: A free and con­fi­den­tial drop in sup­port ser­vice, Time to talk in a re­laxed at­mos­phere, Help to ac­cess ben­e­fits and fi­nan­cial ad­vice, Ac­cess to coun­selling pro­vided by Can­cer Sup­port Scot­land, Links to other rel­e­vant lo­cal or­gan­i­sa­tions Leaflets and books on can­cer top­ics and help to ac­cess qual­ity ac­cess qual­ity in­ter­net sites for can­cer in­for­ma­tion and sup­port. Can­cer Sup­port Group Group meet ev­ery sec­ond Tues­day in Strath­brock Part­ner­ship 1pm-3pm in the Youth Room (en­ter through en­trance ad­ja­cent to large blue con­tainer). This can­cer sup­port group is open to in­di­vid­u­als touched by any type of can­cer. The group has been formed to give par­ents, sur­vivors and care­givers the sup­port and strength to move for­ward to­gether. Re­fresh­ments will be pro­vided. Cit­i­zens Ad­vice Bu­reau West Loth­ian Has an out­reach pro­ject ev­ery Wed­nes­day 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am at the Strath­brock Com­mu­nity Part­ner­ship Cen­tre (En­trance B). We can help with prob­lems such as ben­e­fits, debt, fam­ily and neigh­bour prob­lems, con­sumer is­sues, em­ploy­ment, and te­nancy is­sues. To book an ap­point­ment phone 01506 436132. Brox­burn Li­brary Lo­cated within Strath­brock Part­ner­ship Cen­tre, the li­brary of­fers the full range of li­brary ser­vices, in­clud­ing free ac­cess to pub­lic com­put­ers. Open­ing times are Mon­day & Tues­day 8.30am – 5pm, Wed­nes­day 8.30am -3pm, Thurs­day 8.30am – 7pm, Fri­day 8.30am – 4pm & Sat­ur­day 9am -1pm. Book Club - This meets on the last Thurs­day of the month at 5.45pm. If you are in­ter­ested in read­ing, meet­ing peo­ple and hav­ing a chat over a tea/cof­fee, then come along and join in. Bowl­ing club Kath­leen Eas­ton won the 1st prize in the trea­sure chest but he picked the wrong key to open the pad­lock. On Sat­ur­day the jack­pot will be £375 with 8 keys to choose from. The tote dou­ble num­bers were 10 and 39 with no win­ner. The func­tion suite is avail­able to mem­bers to hire for their pri­vate par­ties by con­tact­ing the club. John Burns will be the en­ter­tainer in the lounge from 9pm this Sat­ur­day. Jim Troup beat Davy McKay in the fi­nal of the weekly Sun­day af­ter­noon dominoes com­pe­ti­tion. This is the last week­end for names to be sub­mit­ted for the se­niors Christ­mas din­ner on Wed­nes­day 19th De­cem­ber with Johnny M Hen­der­son the en­ter­tainer for the evening. The next monthly quiz will be at 8pm and karaoke at 9.30pm on Fri­day 7th De­cem­ber at 8pm
