Mike Duncan mduncanded­ridge@hotmail.com Woodlands Nursing Home is putting on a Christmas Market at the Home this Saturday December 1 from 2-4pm. There will be a range of stalls including arts and crafts, jewellery, toys, sweets and candy and stocking fillers. There will also be a raffle, tombola, Christmas Grotto, mulled wine and mince pies, hot chocolate, beveridges and hot filled rolls. The event is open to all interested. Crofthead Farm Community Centre has set up a collection point for donations to give to the local Food Bank to help local families at Christmas. All non-perishable Christmas themed foods/sweets for children and adults would be greatly appreciate­d. The appeal is being co-ordinated by Kathleen Kirton who runs the Farmhouse Café at the Centre. All donations can be handed in to the Café or Farm or for further details telephone 01506-775991. Lanthorn Library is holding a Craft Session for children tomorrow, Friday starting at 2pm. Those attending will be making their very own Pom Pom Haggis. All welcome. Dedridge Good Neighbour Network 50+ Lunch and Social Club meet on Wednesday December 5 at 12.30pm.
