Mike Dun­can mdun­can­d­[email protected]­ Wood­lands Nurs­ing Home is putting on a Christ­mas Mar­ket at the Home this Sat­ur­day De­cem­ber 1 from 2-4pm. There will be a range of stalls in­clud­ing arts and crafts, jew­ellery, toys, sweets and candy and stock­ing fillers. There will also be a raf­fle, tombola, Christ­mas Grotto, mulled wine and mince pies, hot choco­late, bev­eridges and hot filled rolls. The event is open to all in­ter­ested. Croft­head Farm Com­mu­nity Cen­tre has set up a col­lec­tion point for dona­tions to give to the lo­cal Food Bank to help lo­cal fam­i­lies at Christ­mas. All non-per­ish­able Christ­mas themed foods/sweets for chil­dren and adults would be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated. The ap­peal is be­ing co-or­di­nated by Kath­leen Kir­ton who runs the Farm­house Café at the Cen­tre. All dona­tions can be handed in to the Café or Farm or for fur­ther de­tails tele­phone 01506-775991. Lan­thorn Li­brary is hold­ing a Craft Ses­sion for chil­dren to­mor­row, Fri­day start­ing at 2pm. Those at­tend­ing will be mak­ing their very own Pom Pom Hag­gis. All wel­come. Dedridge Good Neigh­bour Net­work 50+ Lunch and So­cial Club meet on Wed­nes­day De­cem­ber 5 at 12.30pm. Af­ter a home cooked meal an af­ter­noon of en­ter­tain­ment take place.
