United keep up good form

- Fauldhouse ...... 1 Tayport ............. 1

Fauldhouse United made it three Superleague games without defeat as they battled to a draw at home to Tayport.

The hosts almost took the lead in the early stages when a cross into the‘Port penalty area was deflected on to the post.

It would be Tayport who would go into the break with the lead when Dayle Roberston was on hand to prod home a Ryan Suttie cross.

The Hoose’s John Mullen was the busier of the two keepers, with a string of fine saves keeping his side in the game. And they would get their rewards on 71 minutes as Conor Cowan turned home a Jack Currie cross as the teams settled for a share of the spoils.

Elsewhere, West Calder United drew 2-2 away at Newburgh. Jack McLaren levelled things up for the Cauther after they fell behind despite Jamie Stanaird giving them the lead.

Livingston United’s clash against Lochore Welfare at Station Park and Armadale Thistle’s trip to Kirkcaldy YM were both postponed due to the weather.

Meanwhile, Linlithgow Rose drew 1-1 in a friendly at home to SPFL League Two side Clyde.
