Holt: I’m all set for on form ‘Well visit

- Callum Carson

Livingston boss Gary Holt says he’s not surprised that Motherwell have hit a good run of form ahead of their visit to the Tony Macaroni Arena on Saturday.

The two sides drew 1-1 at Fir Park earlier in the season when the ‘Well were in the midst of a poor run of form but they enter December on a run of three wins from four games.

Holt said: “Motherwell are a good side who have been there and done it in this league. We’re the new boys at it, the rest know how to win games of football at this level and Motherwell are showing that they can do that with their recent form.”

He added: “We’re under no illusion as to how difficult Saturday’s game is going to be because it will be a very tough afternoon for us and we’ll need to earn whatever we get from the game.

“But that’s no different from any other game that we go into this season. We can’t just turn up and win matches in this league.

“We’ll prepare the players properly and have a game plan that we want them to follow. It’s going to be a challenge for us but we’ll give it our best shot and then see where that takes us.”
