Council receives top diversity accolade

We are committed to actively promoting diversity, equality, inclusion and LGBT rights in West Lothian by mainstreaming the agenda into everything that we do as a council, as well as work with our partners to achieve this goal. West Lothian Council is already a Stonewall Diversity Champion and is committed to advancing LGBT equality.” Fergus MacMillan, chief executive of LGBT Youth Scotland, who presented both Deans and CLD Youth Services with their awards, added: “We are delighted to present the Gold LGBT Charter to West Lothian Council CLD youth services. Working to make services more inclusive of transgender people and reaching out directly to the LGBT community in West Lothian are important parts of what this award recognises. Well done to everyone from the CLD team and young people from Glitter Cannons on this fantastic achievement, from everyone at LGBT Youth Scotland.
