We don’t have stupid ideas
“I was an Ambassador for the Year of Young People 2018 and I decided to get involved because I thought it was a great opportunity to have a say in issues that affect youth in Scotland.
“In March, East Lothian council held a Youth Summit where young people from each school were selected to attend and have a say in changes that should be made to schools in the area.
“I think that YOYP 2018 has shown adults that young people don’t come up with stupid ideas, but ideas that are good for our local community.
“Being involved has made me feel my voice is important.
“My wish for young people in my community is for them to fight for what they believe in and make sure they always have a say.
“YOYP 2018 has been such a fantastic opportunity for me and I’ve had a brilliant time as an Ambassador.
“Young people in Scotland are incredible and I want everyone to know that!”
