Pupils reach their peak

Pupils from Bathgate Academy were amongst those taking part in the Lothian Mountain Challenge, which pitted 50 teams against each other in a two-day orienteering event.

The S3 pupils were photographed for the December 17, 1998 edition of the Courier. The competition required the pupils to carry enough provisions to sustain themselves during the two days as well as having to navigate to each checkpoint.
