HOLT SAYS

-

Livingston boss Gary Holt admitted that a draw was probably the right result at Easter Road but confessed that he was disappointed his side didn’t come away with all three.

There was still 20 minutes left when Hibs missed their penalty and the former Scotland midfielder confessed there was still too much time left at that stage for him to think that would give his side the victory.

He commented:“You want to win the game and when you get a goal up you’re thinking you can go on and do that, but I’ll be honest enough to say that if we took the three points then it would have been probably unfair on Hibs.

“I don’t think there was too much in it. We created a chance right at the end and could have won it, but they missed a couple of chances too as well as obviously the penalty.”

He added:“There was too long left in the game when they missed the penalty. I kept looking at the clock and I’m sure it was going backwards.

“They had a bit of a foothold at that point but we largely withstood that, which was pleasing because you know when you’re away from home that teams will have pressure and it’s about not getting out of shape.

“We coped with that well and it’s a decent point for us to come away and get at a place like Hibs.”
