LIVINGSTON PARKRUN

-

It was a Lothian Running Club double last week at the Livingston Parkrun with Robbie Kennedy taking the win on Christmas Day while Craig Pirie crossed the line in first place on Saturday morning.

Fellow LRC member Jo Williams was in fine form as she made it three successive female category wins on Christmas Day.

Kennedy took the win in 16.50 with Williams coming third overall and first female in 17.58 as she was able to make it three female category wins in a row.

Ryan Kirkland and Louis MacDonald both impressed as they claimed top-10 places for the second time in three days.

Ryan’s time of 18.42 was good enough for him to finish in fifth place, while Louis crossed the line in 19.08 to come home in seventh place.

A pair of Livingston AC members were in the top five in the female category on their home course. Courtney Moffat narrowly missed out on a new personal best with her time of 21.05, which saw her finish third female.

Team- mate Amanda Campbell did claim a new personal best, though, as she finished five seconds and one place further back.

At the weekend, Craig Pirie crossed the line in 18.08, almost 30 seconds ahead of his closest challenger.

Four LRC members finished in the top10 while Livingston AC’s Yvonne Crilly was the first female runner to cross the line with her time of 20.20 seeing her finish 11th overall. Her team-mate Katie Craig was second female and 15th overall in 20.29.

Al Aitken was fourth in 19.08, just one second outside of his personal best over the 5km distance, while Ryan Kirkland was sixth in 19.45. Phil Evans, in just his eighth parkrun, rounded out the LRC representation in the top-10 with his time of 20.17 seeing him finish ninth.
