YVONNE GREEN 01506 440881 YVONNEGREEN55@GMAIL.COM. FLU VACCINATION PROGRAMME

East Calder Medical Practice. We will be running flu clinics for over 65s and under 65s at risk, during Oct and Nov and for those aged 55-64 from December. Vaccines for nursery and primary school age children will be provided via the community vaccination teams, and they will also be making provision for catchup vaccinations for those who miss the allocated date. The website only booking system is necessary because of thousands of eligible patients and the need to keep our phone lines free to deal with patients who have a medical issue.

We are asking patients to wear short sleeves and be vaccinated in the standing position due to the very tight timescales on appointments. Pharmacies are also offering vaccines under the NHS to many of the eligible groups. Patients should contact the pharmacy of their choice for further details.

* Clinics will commence week beginning 5th October and will be by appointment only. We anticipate making in the region of 4000 appointments available from Oct-Dec.
