Debut album release date for The Snuts
West Lothian band The Snuts have announced the release of their highlyanticipated debut album.
Their new album -‘ WL’ - will be released on March 19 on Parlophone Records.
The Whitburn band have also announced a huge UK tour which includes a date at the Barrowlands on June 11 and at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on May 14.
Having already amassed a dedicated legion of fans, the boys believe they have well and truly found their stride on ‘WL’.
The album has been produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Phoenix, M83) and recorded at the Firepit London.
The album encapsulates the band’s journey.
It follows them from their time as four working class kids with a dream, growing up in Whitburn, to becoming one of the UK’s most exciting and vital bands of the new decade.
The album opens with the poignant ‘ Top Deck’, winding through a voyage of genres.
It also includes the raw, rousing, hip- hop driven ‘ Elephants’ and the heart- wrenchingly honest ‘Boardwalk’.
And there is the undeniable pop banger ‘Somebody Loves You’, the hauntingly heartfelt anthem ‘Always’ and the main stage festival ready anthem, ‘All Your Friends’.
Lead singer, Jack Cochrane, said: “Our debut album ‘WL’ is our lifetime work.
“It’s a collection of milestones and melodies that time stamp a dream we had becoming a reality.
“It’s a record about being true, loving and resilient.”
Of the band’s massive UK tour, Jack said the gigs, and the Glasgow on in particular, will be the culmination of years of work
And he said the band’s dedicated fans are as keen to celebrate their achievements as the band are themselves.
He said: “We promised ourselves that playing the world- famous Barrowlands and releasing our debut record would be eternally intertwined.
“This occasion is a celebration of that fact for us as a band and the fans who have supported us unconditionally.”
