a re supporting Mur i e s t o n Environmental Group (MEG) through their “local causes” scheme.

MEG are grateful to have been chosen again this year and this is how you can help- if you have a CoOp account, log in and then go to this page: https:// membership.coop.co.uk/causes/48887 and “Choose this cause” to support MEG.

Continuing to shop locally not only boosts funds shared with MEG but will help ensure this essential local service can stay with us in these hard times.

LIVINGSTON CRICKET CLUB

As some will be aware we had recently started slowly moving towards re-opening the Kingfisher Bar. However with the most recent change in restrictions this has had to cease. We are closely monitoring

the regulations issued by the Scottish government and obviously want to ensure any return to the club is safe for our members. We have therefore taken the decision to, once again, defer opening until restrictions reduce further. We will open again as soon as we deem it is safe to do so and we are already planning events for next year, which will be our 40th anniversary. Dates to mark in your diary are:

2nd to 4th April 2021 Beer festival 30th May 2021 Garden party

4th September 2021 Gala day We hope to see you all as soon as it is safe for us to open, in the meantime look after yourselves and stay safe.

Livingston Cricket Club would like to remind people that the club is private property and although they don’t stop people walking their dogs, dog walkers should take their dog poo bags home to dispose of, or place them in the appropriate public waste bins provided by West Lothian Council. Please do not leave dog poo bags in or beside the Cricket Club waste bins as due to the club currently being closed, the waste bins on site are not being emptied. Please respect our community club facilities and allow everyone to stay safe

LET ALL YOUR MEMORIES & STORIES WITH STONES BE A PART OF HISTORY.

The Covid19 Lockdown has been a very strange time for everyone. The girls in the 10th Livingston Girl Guide Group wanted to capture the different emotions, memories and stories they have encountered in 2020 and decided to create a memorial to provide something

in history, representing what lockdown was like locally and what the Guides themselves had been through. They have created a rainbow out of coloured stones, which can be seen at Livingston Cricket Club and are now hoping that everyone in the community join in by laying their own stone, with their own story, to describe how they too felt and what they went through or to remember people that they lost during the pandemic. When the memorial was highlighted in the Courier’s ‘Kindness in the Community’ feature, Guide leader Vicky Walker said, “It would be nice to have a memorial that our children and grandchildren can see,”
