Broxburn Athletic have completed the signing of Jackson Barker from HeriotWatt University.

The 22-year-old had spent five seasons with the Edinburgh side but now makes the step up to the East of Scotland Premier Division after signing for the Albyn Park outfit.

Athletic manager Chris Townsley said: “Jackson is a pacy and creative player. He is exciting and someone who can offer us something different in the new season.

“We wanted to add extra speed in attacking areas and we think Jackson can provide us with that. He’s young but has tons of potential and one fans will be excited to see I’m sure.”

The player himself added: “It’s good to be here and to meet the rest of the team. I’m just pleased to join a club like Broxburn with such a solid set-up.

“I’ve played at this level for a decent amount of time now despite my age and

I’ve come to Broxburn to kick-on and win things.”

Linlithgow Rose have confirmed the signings of Luke Watt and Alan Docherty.

Watt signed last term but was able to feature just twice before the season ground to a halt, although that did include a wonderful 40-yard strike.

Forward Docherty joins from Camelon, where he tallied double figure goals in each of the two previous campaigns prior to last year’s curtailed season. He came through the Stenhousem­uir youth set-up during Rose gaffer Brown Ferguson’s time in charge of the Ochilview club.

The club have confirmed that Lee Wilson and Lewis Crawford have left the club.

Bathgate Thistle have agreed a new main sponsorshi­p deal with Link Group Ltd.
