Coming soon ... a vibrant new Chamber

-

Watch this space as the chamber evolves as a forum for us all to engage, inspire and empower one another.

The Chamber continues to be dedicated to building a thriving business community, creating the space and opportunities for people in business to meet, share and learn, where you can seek advice, share knowledge and inspire new ideas.

Working with our strategic partners The Chamber will Promote, Champion and Reward achievements that Engage, Inspire and Empower us all to do more.

The pillars of the chambers are:

ENTERPRISE – Fostering ingenuity

Using our unique position between businesses we create a stage for startups and experienced businesses to come together to talk about failure, learning and success.

ENVIRONMENT – Doing our part

We’re already carbon neutral. But we’re working with our strategic partners to do more. That means being the most informed, sharing that knowledge and rewarding others for making their contribution. Our team put the environment at the top of their priorities.

COMMUNITY

– Positive community impact

The Chamber believes in business for the social good. Working with our partners and members to invest in education, training and developing the young work force of the future.

Our community engages with local charities and non-profits to enhance the lives and our wider community. All to support causes that make the greatest difference to the lives of those around us.

THE TEAM

Plugged in to local and national government, the influential Scottish Chambers Network and spearheading the Small Chambers Alliance our team are the beating heart of The Chamber.

Local businessman, and tech enthusiast, Charles brings his own business’s ‘family ethos’ to the Chamber, with a focus on new ways of innovative thinking and exceeding customer expectation, ensuring that ‘what we do matters, but how we do it matters a whole lot more.’

His vision for the Chamber is to continue to speak for its businesses as it traditionally has always done but harnesses its valuable knowledge and content to form a truly engaged audience of members.

Brenda Cumming, Deputy Chief Executive

As the longest standing team member Brenda has developed strong relationships in the local business community and looks forward to being part of the next stage in the Chamber’s development.

The Chamber has been actively supportive in promoting business growth, networking, skills-based projects and recognising and celebrating entrepreneurship and she welcomes the opportunity to be part of the stronger, engaging Chamber to champion our business community and West Lothian.

Rhiannon Hastie, Executive Assistant to the CEO

Having recently returned to work after having her daughter Rhiannon is looking forward to all the exciting changes going on at the Chamber and the opportunity to be involved and make it the best organisation for our members.

Outside of work, Rhiannon loves to be creative and is usually cooking, baking or sewing but she admits to being a massive Harry Potter fan, so you will usually find her watching that!

Nikki Caldwell, Events Executive

Nikki has around eight years’ experience working in events and marketing predominantly within the creative industry. Having already held a BA in Business Management, Nikki recently completed a further postgraduate degree in marketing where she grew a keen interest for sustainability led marketing.
