Appeal urges shoppers to donate a gift

-

Livingston Designer Outlet is urging locals to dig deep to help an extremely worthwhile local charity that they have chosen to support with their 2021 Giving Tree initiative.

Until December 19, visitors to the outlet are being urged to buy and donate a gift to the West Lothian Financial Inclusion Network’s North Pole Project, which aims to collect hundreds of Christmas boxes to ensure that children or teenagers will wake up to a gift on Christmas Day.

This is the second year that the charity has run its appeal and staff and management at the outlet decided to work with the organisation for its Giving Tree appeal which always proves popular with shoppers.

Kylie Wilson, outlet marketing manager at Livingston Designer Outlet, said:“No child or family should go without, especially at Christmas and we are urging our shoppers to buy a little extra something while Christmas shopping with us that can be donated and added to one of the Christmas boxes.”

The outlet’s giving tree is situated at Guest Services and all you need to do to donate is take a tag, buy a gift for a boy or girl aged 0 to 16 and hand it back into the Guest Service team.

Sheila Jamieson, trustee chairman of West Lothian Financial Inclusion Service, said:“As a small local charity we would like to give heartfelt thanks to the Livingston Designer Outlet for their generosity in supporting Team North Pole as their charity of choice this year and establishing a giving tree to help us to fill shoes boxes to benefit children from local families.”
