Work is now underway on 101 new homes in village
Pre-construction work is underway to bring over 100 new houses to West Lothian including 55 affordable homes.
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has confirmed that pre-construction work has started for its Auldcathie View development of 101 new homes in Winchburgh.
Located off Duntarvie Castle Road, Auldcathie View will provide 46 three and four bedroom private homes, as well as 55 affordable homes in a mix of twobedroom cottage flats.
There will also be three bedroom terraced homes together with the associated infrastructure such as roads, parking and open space that is required for a development of this scale.
These new homes will also enjoy an idyllic setting directly adjoining the new Auldcathie District Park.
The location of Auldcathie View within the overall masterplan vision for Winchburgh and forms part of Phase 2 of the wider Winchburgh masterplan that when complete will deliver at least 3800 new homes, improved transport links, employment opportunities, and stateofthe-art schools.
This impressive masterplan will also provide new outdoor spaces that will include a new canal marina. There will also be the creation of Auldcathie District Park, as well as a new motorway junction.

She added: “We are very pleased that our pre-construction works at Auldcathie View have started.
“It signals the initial stage of our first development in Winchburgh since 2018.

“There are several months of preconstruction works to complete before we can finalise the timescales of when we willstart building our new homes.
“However we expect that will be in early 2022 and we will continue to update the local community with our plans.
