Sunday morning worship 9:45am in The West Kirk and 11:15am Polbeth Harwood Church. Weekly Sunday/JAM clubs welcome all children and the Bible class meet the first Sunday in the month at the West Kirk. to Easter Breich Wood Community Group who have succeeded in their bid to gain funding from the Scottish Land Fund to purchase the Easter Breich Woodland for the community. They also have become a registered charity (SC051201). This marks a great milestone in the Steering Group’s work. Currently the group are working through the necessary administra­tion to complete the transition of ownership. The Steering Group are keen to hear from members of the local community who may be interested in joining the Board in the future - especially those with skills in the areas of accountanc­y, land & woodland management, events organisati­on & fundraisin­g. DEMENTIA GROUP

Music 4 u is a fun filled time of musical activities especially designed for people with dementia. It’s held on the third Wednesday of each month at Carmondean community complex, Fells Rigg, Livingston. Anyone with dementia

is welcome, but we would ask that they were accompanie­d by a carer. It’s from 2 p.m. To 3.30 p.m. And begins with an afternoon tea followed by all types of musical activity. Volunteers are all skilled in dementia and music. The December meeting will be 8th December, one week earlier than normal. Contact Nancy on 419904 for further informatio­n.

Outreach committee are holding a Christmas Coffee Morning on Saturday and sold merchandis­e this year for Children in Need.

Along with the staff taking part in the

4th December from 10am to 12noon in Murieston Village Hall. This will be a free event. Please feel free to invite a friend or friends. We are hoping that Santa might put in an appearance! There will be a Christmas Raffle from which the proceeds will go to the Salvation Army.

As things are returning to more of a normal, the hall is becoming much busier again. This is lovely to see and we are delighted to see the hall back in use.

The hall is run by a small group of volunteers and it can be difficult to keep up with the amount of enquiries coming through.

Update from MEG, Murieston Environmen­tal Group. We would like official CIN sweepstake we raised £1970 in total. to say a massive Thank You to the Co-op and it’s members for choosing us as one of their local charities over the past year. It is because of them we were recently able to accept a cheque for £2180.48.Donations like these mean we can continue to fund things like “fish in the classroom” and doing clean ups/maintenanc­e works along our many paths.

If you do have a membership with the Co-op they would encourage you to choose a local cause, if you don’t your donations just go into a central pot and get split between all the charities.

KIZZI’S POP UP DOGGY DINER

indoor café will be held at Livingston Cricket Club on Sunday 5th December from 11am to 3pm. You will have to book your table for your hooman friends, as us dogs need to make sure they stay safe. For £2:95, you can have a selection of Doggy treats such as liver cake, peanut butter and banana biscuits and a Barkdque burger. Kizzi will give you a doggy bag if you cannot manage it all.

Whitburn Scout Group will once again be running its Christmas card delivery service. After last year’s absence, this will be the 35 th year of the service. Cards can be posted at the following shops from Monday 29 November: The Gothenburg, East Whitburn; Rashid Bros, Murraysgat­e; Lifestyle Express (Captain Morgan’s), East Main St; Mia’s Card Shop, West Main

St; Glenmore Minimarket, Blaeberryh­ill Road; and Boots the Chemist, West Main Street. The last day for posting will be the end of trading on Thursday 16 th December. The cost remains 30p per card.

Deliveries will take place Saturday and Sundays to Whitburn, East Whitburn and Redmill ONLY.

Thursday meetings of the Group’s Beaver Scout sections have

Tesco customers can vote in the Bathgate store and both Tesco express stores, in Broxburn and East Calder, until 31 December to decide how much funding we receive

. Funding will be used for our Community Fridge project to continue to support the local community and redistribu­te surplus food.
