An award-winning West Lothian businesswoman is took centre stage tonight on popular BBC programme The Adventure Show.

Carol Murdoch (in blue top) runs Love Outdoor Learning and appeared on the show last week.

Duncan McCallum joined Carol as she shows how disadvantaged youngsters learning in the outdoors can change their lives.

Carol has long promoted learning in the great outdoors as a great way of boosting children’s confidence and wellbeing.

She says learning should not simply contained within the four walls of a classroom, it can happen anywhere.

And she brought that ethos to the Adventure Show, which is hosted by DougieVipond.

Carol said:“When I think of my youth, I remember being outside, playing and exploring. It taught me a wealth of skills I still use today. I aim to give children the same opportunities.

“Our award winning support was developed through years of working within education and a wealth of training and knowledge developed within the outdoor environment.

“We understand how to create exciting and interesting sessions that will help children grow, learn and develop and build staffs confidence in delivering lessons outdoors.”

Carol also runs a successful programme of online tutoring for all ages in a range of subjects.
