Westfield has Burns fling

Westfield Primary School celebrated Burns Night in Style recently.

The school hosted an outdoor ceilidh with a speaker from Personal Best Fitness in Armadale, who often supports the school in many ways.

Steph Stutt, principal teacher said: “We were also taught how to do the Highland Fling by two of our confident P4 pupils.

“We then took part in a Scottish quiz, listened to poem recitations, and finished the afternoon off with some tasty Scottish snacks.

“Our children were also set a family challenge of creating a Scottish landmark using any material they wanted.

“We had some fabulous creations including the Forth Rail Bridge made by a 3D pen and Burns’ Cottage which was made from gingerbread!”
