Hannibal’s absence hurts steady show

- Clarice Alibi, Mondays at 9pm ●●●●●

Set a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, this show puts the focus on Rebecca Breeds’Clarice Starling.

Creators Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet were hindered right away as they didn’t have the rights to use, or even reference, the Hannibal Lecter character.

As a result, the show is heavily reliant on Breeds’ performance – and the Australian is up to the task.

Some episodes drag but an interesting conspiracy angle runs throughout and Clarice’s team, including Michael Cudlitz’s Krendler, are an intriguing bunch.
