Ticket giveaway is a roaring success as Lions supporters fill stadium to cheer on heroes

-

Livingston welcomed their largest home support for many years on Saturday following a ticket giveaway initiative that saw 3700 free tickets handed to local schools, sports clubs, and organisations.

Around 70 per cent of tickets were used as home fans were situated in three of the four stands at the Tony Macaroni Arena– something that hasn’t happened in a league game for over a decade.

Livingston boss David Martindale was delighted to see so many supporters turn up to cheer on his team.

He said: “It was a big bonus to see so many fans in the stadium.

“It was a good atmosphere and something the players all spoke about.”

But after his side drew 1-1 with St Mirren, he said: “It was just disappointing that we couldn’t get the win.”
