Development is continuing to transform a former council depot into 29 high quality council homes.
The transformation of the Eagle Brae depot is speeding up as work construction continues on the delivery of the new council homes.
CCG Scotland are constructing the units on behalf of West Lothian Council which include: a mixture of one-bedroom cottage flats; two, three, four- and five-bedroom houses, and two- and three-bedroom bungalows.
The project is anticipated to be complete by the end of Summer 2022 when council tenants will be able to move into the new homes.
The houses onsite will contain a number of sustainable features designed to help tenants reduce their carbon footprint.
This includes future provision for electric vehicle charging points as well as PPV solar panels to help reduce energy consumption.
Executive councillor for services for the community, George Paul was recently onsite with officers from the council’s Housing Service to oversee the latest steps being taken as the former depot site is transformed.
Councillor Paul said:“With the old depot surplus to requirements, it is fantastic to see the land being put to good use.
“Livingston has long been the most in demand area of West Lothian for social housing.
The range of homes being delivered here at Eagle Brae demonstrates the commitment to increasing the availability of affordable homes in the Livingston area.
“It has been good to be onsite once more to see good work being carried out by contractors and the council.”
