Horror’s current obsession with paying tribute to eighties’fright flicks continues with a gore fest that’s full of surprises.

An impending apocalypse looms large over Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski’s peculiar beast.

If you like your horror bloody and full of gloopy effects then The Void will be right up your street.

Story wise, however, it takes a while to get going and the cast do not amount to much more than cannon fodder. But Gillespie and Kostanski sure know how to film images that shock and linger long in your brain for days.
