Snakebite aiming for the top spot
Livingston-born world champion and world no.1 Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright is aiming to climb to the top of the 2022 Premier League Darts table tonight (Thursday).
But to do so he may have to topple Dutch ace Michael van Gerwen in front of his home fans in Rotterdam if both players make it through to the final.
Wright goes into Night Seven of the competition sitting in second place behind van Gerwen, two points adrift of the 32-year-old who has clinched victories in two of the last three events.
‘Snakebite’ takes on James Wade in the quarter-finals at the Ahoy Arena and would face a potential semi-final match-up with fellow Scot Gary Anderson if both progressed.
The action is being shown live on Sky Sports from 7pm this evening.
