I LOVE THE VARIETY AND JOB SATISFACTION

Taylah Egbers joined the Trust team at The Hill House in 2019 and was promoted to Visitor Services Supervisor in 2020, she believes working at the Trust is both an honour and a joy.

She said: “One of the best things about working for the Trust is the variety. Where else would I get to be involved in a pioneering conservation programme like the one we’re running at Hill House? The work I do is really exciting and I truly look forward to it every day.

“From being able to uncover stories about the site, to sharing my passion for history with visitors, updating our social media accounts to share what’s happening, through to interacting with visitors and supporters from around the world. I love what I do and the difference I make in shaping the telling of Scotland’s history.

“I’m so passionate about the work we do at the Trust to conserve and care for our sites and the fact that what we’re doing today is making it possible for future generations, like my nephew, to discover and enjoy the stories of Scotland’s heritage.”
