Three Lothian Running Club members grabbed top-six spots at the Polkemmet Country Parkrun on Saturday morning.

Alastair Murray picked up a personal best as he crossed the line in fourth place in 20.52 while he was followed by team-mates Julie Atkinson (21.15 PB) who was fifth overall and first female.

Ryan Ferguson was the third straight LRC member home as he grabbed sixth place in 22.33.

The event was won by Calderglen Harriers’ Christophe­r McCarron in 19.08 with Andrew Kennedy 12 seconds further back in second place.

Kevin Farmer (20.00) of Calderglen Harriers roundedout the top three.

At the Livingston Parkrun, Mark Ritchie took first place in a time of 17.39 ahead of a pair of Harmeny AC members.

Phil Buckley (18.00) was second with Ross Millar (18.11) claiming third place.

Lothian Running Club’s John Jamieson was the first local club runner to cross the line in a time of 22.05 for 14th place.

Edinburgh AC’s Tessa Bell (20.36) was first female home.
