Eaterieis granted premises licence

-

Five Guys, West Lothian’s newest burger restaurant, has been granted a premises licence by the council’s Licensing Board.

The burger chain, which has 12 restaurants in Scotland, opened their first West Lothian restaurant in the former Ask Italian premises at 340 The Elements in Livingston’s town centre in September.

The Livingston restaurant currently offers Corona Extra, Budweiser and Brooklyn Lager.

The restaurant has been working under occasional licences since it opened and there have been no issues or adverse comments, the board was told.

Seasonal variations have been included in the licence, so it can take advantage of extended hours at Christmas and New Year.

The outdoor area will only be in use until 9pm daily.

The licence also covers delivery services through Deliveroo.

Alcohol can only be served with a meal either in the restaurant or through takeaway.
