Lionesses finish debut season on a high
Livingston Women rounded off their debut season with a 4-1 victory away to Edinburgh Caledonia on the final day of the SWFL Championship South campaign.
Heading into the clash on the back of a five-game winless run that had seen them fall out of promotion contention, the visitors fell behind early but showed plenty of fighting spirit to draw back on level terms thanks to a Jess Murphy header.
Skipper Vicky Wood fired them in front six minutes after the break before they wrapped up the points with a late double as Ashley Fish and then
Rebecca Jaconelli netted. The victory sees the Lionesses end the season in fifth place.
In the fourth tier SWFL Central/South East, there was a win for Livingston Development in their derby clash with Murieston United, with Livi running out 3-1 victors.
Elsewhere, Linlithgow Rose continued their perfect start to the season with a 7-2 home win over Bonnyrigg Rose.
The Rose are the only West Lothian club in action on Sunday as they host Ayr United Development in the quarterfinal of the SWFL League Cup (12pm kick-off ).
