Village house plans unveiled
A housing developer is applying for permission to build over 80 new homes in a West Lothian village.
Blackridge Developments wants to create the new development of 81 houses at Craiginn Terrace in Blackridge.
The new residential development will also boast car parking and open space, as well as access and associated infrastructure.
The site is around 9.83 acres. To the west and north west of the site is existing housing along Westcraigs Road, and affordable homes currently being delivered by Cairn Housing Association. To the north of the site is Craiginn Terrace.
Blackridge Developments say there are a number of benefits to the houses being approved. A spokesperson said: “Delivery of this final part of a long-established allocated site in a sustainable location, close to Blackridge railway station and beside an existing principal bus route. Residential development will contribute to the overall housing supply in West Lothian, this will include a diverse mix of types and tenure.”
