are looking to recruit players. Fantastic opportunit­y for boys to join a growing club at an exciting time in youth developmen­t. This is a new team who will play in the WLAYFC League C Division. Additional­ly, we are also looking for volunteer coaches to come along and help out. Training will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings 7 pm - 8:15 pm at Murieston United FC pitches which has fantastic facilities.

Match games will be played on a Saturday morning within the West Lothian area. Kit will be provided for both training and match days. We are looking to recruit players born in 2009 who are committed to developing their football skills, willing to learn and work hard. We will be offering trials for all positions and abilities. Thistle play at home to Bo’ness tomorrow Friday 20 May in a league game with the kick off at 7.30pm. Sunday 15 May lottery draw numbers were 3, 9, 16, 19. There were two winners. Prize money for Sunday 22 May is £300. The club is planning ahead with their fund raising in the form of a prize bingo evening which will take place in the Cavalier on Friday 22 July.

WATSON MEMORIAL BOWLING CLUB

The club had a visit from a group of bowlers from the Railway Bowling Club, Grangemout­h on Saturday 14 May. There was a total of thirty six smiling faces enjoying bowling in the good weather, fresh air and a chance to catch up with having the visits halted because of lockdown. After the game that saw our visitors win by three shots, we were treated to a fine meal supplied by our kitchen staff who once again did a great job. Farewells said, the club looks forward to meeting at Grangemout­h, next season.

QUEEN’S JUBILEE TEA

Armadale Parish Church fund raising committee have organised a Queen’s Jubilee Cream Tea which will take place on Saturday 21 May from 10am-12 noon. More details to follow.

ARMADALE PARISH CHURCH

In person Sunday worship has resumed at 11am and no booking is necessary now. The Duty Team will be on hand to guide and support everyone with any restrictio­ns that are still in place so please bear with them.

HARMONY DANCE CLUB

The club meet in Armadale Partnershi­p Centre on a Tuesday afternoon from 1.30pm-3.30pm and restart again after their festive break on Tuesday 11 January 2022 when all existing and new members will be made most welcome.

ARMADALE BOWLING CLUB

Bingo takes place in the club on Wednesdays at 8pm and Saturdays at 7.30pm. The treasure chest draw takes place on Saturday evenings.

LIVINGSTON SOUTH COMMUNITY CHURCH

is providing £15,000 to those supplyin help to the Ukrainian people. £5000 each will be allocated towards, helping purchase supplies to fill a rucksack for each refugee arriving in Edinburgh, to help with the cost of fuel for trucks leaving the Edinburgh warehouse with medical supplies, equipment and food, and to help purchase bulk supplies like flour to go in the trucks.

THE LANTHORN COMMUNITY FOOD SHOP AT CROFTHEAD FARM

has an increased product range and offers fresh mixed fruit and vegetables, £1 a bag and Dairy products, cheese, eggs, butter at 2 for £1. Bags of food costing a very reasonable £3 are on sale with the contents varying each day depending on what has been delivered. The cost also includes a pack of fresh meat or poultry. Gluten free foods are also stocked. Cleaning products, nappies, baby milk and pet food are available to. The shop is open on Monday’s and Wednesday’s 9am12.30pm and on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5-7pm.
