Future war relives some past glories
Terminator Salvation is an entertaining, action-packed movie that is as good as any in the series bar the classic first two flicks.
A shouty, scowling and gruff Christian Bale is a perfect John Connor for this war-time entry, although he doesn’t add much to the character.
There are bombings, submarines, soldier meetings and ash falling from the sky, while the bleached, de-saturated colour also brings an air of dread.
Sam Worthington’s Marcus is the most interesting character; he is fairly low key but holds your attention.
