Liviboss relishing thebreak

-

Livingston boss David Martindale says he’s looking forward to a less stressful summer break insisting the Lions only need to add another three or four players.

Last off-season brought about a huge change in personnel with over a dozen departures and just as many new arrivals but the gaffer says he’s already done half of his summer shopping with the arrivals of Scott Bitsindou, Jamie Brandon and Phillip Cancar.

He said: “That’s probably around 50 per cent of my recruitment done already.

“This summer is one you’re looking forward to, last year was like spinning plates. I was looking for members of staff as well as 14 players or thereabouts.

“My head was a wee bit fried. The summer window was constant and I was going home every night with a migraine.

“Going into this window I feel we are a lot further ahead than what we were last year.

“You still have to put the hard work in but I feel we’re in a much better place as a club than in previous seasons.”
