PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIO­N

We extend a warm and open invitation to everyone to join us at the West Kirk of Calder on June 5th at 10 am for a special united service to celebrate our Queens Platinum Jubilee. Bring along your own picnic to the service then join us in the grounds for a Big Jubilee lunch, we will provide the tea and coffee and some light entertainm­ent, there will also be games and crafts for the young at heart!

There are 14 races in total on the day of the gala. MID CALDER BABY AND TODDLER GROUP

meets in the Institute Hall on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 11.30pm. Cost of a session is £1 for under 1’s and £2 for 1 and over. Older children will be given a snack and there is tea/ coffee available for adults. It is up to the parents to set up and then put away toys and make sure the hall is left clean and tidy. WEST LOTHIAN ARMED FORCES DAY

In a joint venture, WL AFD and RBLS Livingston Branch, are planning a Parade to celebrate HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

This will take place on the afternoon of Sunday, May 29 2022.

The Parade will leave Broxburn Academy at 14:00 and head to the War Memorial, outside the Strathbroc­k Partnershi­p Centre for a short Service.

The Service will include trees being planted as part of HM The Queen’s Green Canopy initiative.

We are expecting Parade participan­ts to include Military representa­tives, Veterans and Cadet Forces.

The three 2010s football teams for Broxburn are looking for trialists to help bolster squads for now and next seasons 11 aside leagues.

This new group is now in place, 9 noon, at Broxburn Baptist Church! All welcome. We aim to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere to aid Parents, Grandparen­ts, Carers and Child-minders in caring for and entertaini­ng the wee ones in their care.
