WATSON MEMORIAL BOWLING CLUB

The competitio­n on Saturday 28 May was the Jim Currie Trophy played at the Watson Memorial Bowling Club in great sunshine and good company. The winners on the day were Mrs C Mounce, Mr A Baxter and Mr I Hunter with Mrs N Brodie, Mrs J Thomson and Mr J Rae a close second and once again a great spread at the end of play laid on by our kitchen staff.

Hall. The new executive committee was elected on the night and comprises:

Inflation is affecting everyone at present and as part of the Life Skills Project the cooking sessions offer tips and techniques for creating easy tasty family meals on a budget. Bags of food costing a very reasonable £3 are on sale with the contents varying each day depending on what has been delivered. The cost also includes a pack of fresh meat or poultry. Gluten free foods are also stocked. Cleaning products, nappies, baby milk and pet food are available to.

The shop is open on Mondays and Wednesdays 9am-12.30pm and on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5-7pm.
