WATSON MEMORIAL BOWLING CLUB
The competition on Saturday 28 May was the Jim Currie Trophy played at the Watson Memorial Bowling Club in great sunshine and good company. The winners on the day were Mrs C Mounce, Mr A Baxter and Mr I Hunter with Mrs N Brodie, Mrs J Thomson and Mr J Rae a close second and once again a great spread at the end of play laid on by our kitchen staff.

Despite restrictions caused by the pandemic, renovation work continued bringing about major improvements the main toilets for the Farm, redecoration and new floor coverings for the Farmhouse, new Cottage kitchen, creation of a new meeting room, hot desk area, and refurbishment of the Mill Rooms.
Planning permission has been granted for the construction of a cycle training facility and the demolition of the Sports Barns to make way for the construction of a multipurpose
Hall. The new executive committee was elected on the night and comprises:
chairperson, Michael Duncan, vice chair, David Liddell, secretary, Kathleen Kirton, acting treasurer, David Liddell. Special thanks were expressed to Sandra Taylor, president of the Livingston Camera Club who despite undergoing major surgery the previous day, joined the meeting on Zoom from her hospital bed.

Funded by Adult Learning Recovery Fund a Ready Steady Cook - Being Creative with Store Cupboard Basics, has commenced at Crofthead Farm.
Inflation is affecting everyone at present and as part of the Life Skills Project the cooking sessions offer tips and techniques for creating easy tasty family meals on a budget. Gluten free foods are also stocked. Cleaning products, nappies, baby milk and pet food are available to.
