Cash boost to give kids warm coats this winter

A charity that hands out clothes to struggling families has been handed a welcome cash boost.

The school Bank West Lothian has been given a £250 donation from Taylor Wimpey to continue its great work providing school uniforms and essentials to anyone in need.

The donation was made by Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, through the housebuild­er’s Back to School summer donations.

This time the money will be used to boost its efforts to provide winter coats to children who need them.

The School Bank West Lothian is a volunteer-led group aiming to improve the lives of children in West Lothian experienci­ng financial hardship.

Each year they distribute new school uniform and school items to hundreds of families across the local area. This latest donation from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland provides a welcome boost to provide new warm winter coats to children.

Collette Moran, project manager for The School Bank West Lothian said:“This latest donation from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland provides us with a welcome boost to provide warm winter coats for children to wear to school and we are delighted they contacted us with news of their donation.”
