-

Nearly 200 new and affordable homes will be built soon in Winchburgh.

Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has secured detailed planning consent from West Lothian Council for the 190 new properties on land located near Beatlie Road.

The Seton Rise development forms part of the wider Winchburgh masterplan that when complete will deliver at least 3,800 new homes, improved transport links, employment opportunities, and state-of-the-art schools.

The plan also provides stunning new outdoor spaces and local amenities that include a new canal marina, the new Auldcathie District Park, as well as a new motorway junction that provides convenient access to the M9.

Taylor Wimpey’s Seton Rise development forms an important part of the delivery of the masterplan vision, which will integrate with the existing new housing and features that have been completed in phase one of the project.

The development will offer 171 two, three and four bedroom private new homes, as well as 19 affordable homes

They are a a mix of two and three bedroom terraced homes together with the associated roads, parking and open space that is required for a development of this scale.

Pauline Mills, Land and Planning Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland comments: “We are delighted to confirm that an application for Approval of Matters Specified by Condition has been granted planning permission for our development of new homes on land off Beatlie Road in Winchburgh, and we are looking forward to continuing to play our part in the delivery of the Winchburgh masterplan.

“Our development will provide a range of economic benefits which includes supporting around 665 jobs during construction,”
