Treat time at shopping centre

The Easter Bank Holiday Monday brought lots of visitors to The Centre, Livingston from far and wide to enjoy a day off work.
People took advantage to enjoy some shopping with family and friends and take some time out for a bite to eat - giving our Style Squad team a great chance to chat to a few of them and hear about some of their purchases and Spring holiday plans.
As a thank you for taking the time out to catch up with us they all received a £25 gift card to treat themselves to something nice in the shopping centre.
First up on the radar was Zoe Lee, whose dad was having fun with the kids at Aerial Adventures allowing Zoe some time to herself to spend her birthday money before they all headed to their favourite place to eat, Five Guys.
She said: “Today I’m spending my birthday money on some nice new Spring/Summer clothes for everyday wear and also my upcoming holiday in Portugal.”
It was great to catch up with dad John McLaren and his little one Lucy from Broxburn.
John was in the mall to get new passport photos and decided to treat Lucy to a teddy in her favourite shop, Build-A-Bear, and ended up getting her two as they were on offer – a Pikachu and Strawbeary – much to Lucy’s delight!
On the day we also had a great chat with mum, Louise McKenzie and daughter, Jenna.
Louise and her daughter Jenna took the opportunity during the Easter holidays for a day out and on the shopping list for mum was some new work clothes.
She was delighted to find a few nice pieces in New Look, including a lovely Spring dress.
Also enjoying the Easter Bank Holiday were Bathgate couple Ben Kelly, a painter and Angel Robertson, a sales administrator.
Angel said: “We both had a day off work today so decided it was the perfect opportunity to pop into The Centre to get a pressie for my friend’s little girl’s first birthday – I managed to get her a very cute jumper and leggings outfit from Primark.”
Ben said: “As well as a bit of browsing the shops when we visit The Centre, especially HMV for me, we also like to treat ourselves at our favourite place to eat - NowNow Cafe.
“The food is incredible – I particularly love the New Yorker bagel!”
Finally, we caught up with musician and mum of two, Vicky Williams from Fauldhouse, who was out shopping with her two little ones, Blair and Ella.
Vicky was enjoying a day out shopping with her kids with a list of a few bits and pieces to pick up, including work and shoes for her husband from Schuh.
Her son Blair picked out a great pair of mustard-coloured Converse baseball boots for him - perfect for days hanging out together.
Blair also enjoyed a bit of shopping in his favourite shop Smiggle spending some of his birthday money on a cool pencil case.
“His sister Ella was also treated to a new pencil case after getting top marks in her recent school report.”
The last stop for the family was a trip to their favourite restaurant, Stack & Still to tuck into some pancakes and jam for Blair, which he loves and Ella, her favourite loaded fries!
