Horsham lose out to county side

Horsham Indoor played against a team from Sussex County IBA over six rinks and 21 ends. Though Horsham started well on all rinks they did not find the pace to hold Sussex. One rink was 17-3 down at the halfway stage only to loose 30-22 in the end. Horsham won on two rinks and drew on one, but the final score was 136-112 to Sussex. A match played against Ewhurst over six rinks and 21 ends, led to an even score through the ends with the final score 120-111 to Horsham, winning on three rinks and drawing on one. Top rink went to Sylvia Thomason, Dave Smith, Frank Heath and skip Ian Coker (30-13). A local derby match against Horsham and the Southwater was played over five rinks and 21 ends and saw Horsham overwhelm Southwater by winning all five rinks and the match 14456. Top rink went to Jan Buffett, Barbara Ford, Christine Adams and skip Dick Cotton with a 37-8 win.
