Brinsbury show is a great success

-

Thousands of visitors enjoyed this year’s Brinsbury Show and Country Fayre based near Pulborough

The popular event was held at Brinsbury College campus near the village.

Animal antics proved popular with pig obstacle exhibitions, terrier racing and horse shows attracting the crowds.

Nickii Salsano visited with her family. She said: “We brought my children and we had a brilliant time.

“The students were all so helpful and enthusiastic. It was a really great day.”

There were plenty of opportunities for visitors to enjoy new experiences and try out activities around the campus, from crazy golf to ferret walking, while expert horticulture lecturers were on hand to share lots of gardening advice.

Kelly Pink added: “Our boys had a fantastic day at the Brinsbury Show – they loved it!

“The archery was a real hit with them. It was great to see all the animals and spend time as a family in the countryside.”

A whole host of staff and students from across Brinsbury and Chichester College give their time to ensure the show goes ahead each year – and that includes Shelagh Legrave OBE, Chichester College Group chief executive, who once again spent time directing traffic and assisting in the car park.

She said: “It was fantastic to see so many families coming together and enjoying our beautiful campus.

“There was a real buzz about Brinsbury. It is always so well supported by the community and this year was no different. It really is a highlight in our calendar.

“Of course, the show couldn’t happen without the support of our staff and our students, who volunteer their time to organise, set up and run the event.”
