Vibrant charity strengthens team

-

West Sussex Music has further strengthened its senior leadership team with the strategic appointment of Angela Croucher as Head of Finance.

Assisting Angela in her day-to-day role is Accounts Manager Lisa Butterworth, also new to West Sussex Music. Together, they will deliver budgeting, financial reporting and business strategy for this vibrant music education charity, based in Horsham.

Angela joins the team with a wealth of experience working with local, national and international charities such as Friends of the Earth.

While her new role will focus mainly on projects, Angela will also help inform robust strategic and operational decision-making and will be conducting a thorough review of the charity’s financial strategy.

She said: “In so many finance jobs, profit is the driver but in the charitable sector, it’s so much more than that.

‘‘It’s about user experience, decision making and helping a charity to become a bit more commercial, whilst retaining its core values and I am delighted to be on board, helping West Sussex Music to fulfil its objective of making high quality music education available to all.”

Withover12yearsofcharity sector experience, working for large organisations such as BBC Children in Need, Comic Relief and NSPCC, Lisa has a wealth of corporate finance and fundraising experience and she will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the West Sussex Music Accounts team continues to provide an excellent service to both parents and schools.

West Sussex Music Chief Executive, James Underwood, said: “I am delighted to welcome both Angela and Lisa to the West Sussex Music team.’’
