Community lottery launch
A new weekly lottery is set to be launched in Horsham District, raising valuable additional funds to support community groups.
Horsham District Council is linking in with this year’s National Volunteers’ Week (June 1-7) to promote the lottery to all the hard working voluntary and community groups across the district. These community groups are invited to get involved by being a partner in the online lottery, which is due to be launched in September 2019.
Anyone buying a £1 ticket can select the community group they want to support from those registered on the website. At least 50p of the £1 ticket price goes directly to the ticket buyer’s chosen group and the buyers are also in with the chance to win a weekly prize, including a £25,000 jackpot.

An information event for local community and voluntary groups will also be held at Billingshurst Community and Conference Centre Council Chamber at 6pm on Wednesday July 17.
Community groups are invited to hear presentations about how the new community lottery can benefit their group, have their questions answered, and sign up on the night.
