New sports club is really springing into life

-

Southwater Sports Club is springing into life as the newly-finished amenities are getting some well-deserved action.

The state-of-the-art new sports facilities have been built by award winning developer, Berkeley Homes, on land next to its stunning village development, Broadacres.

Dozens of keen sports people turned up on a balmy Spring evening to get their first taste of just how magnificent these new resources are.

Berkeley Homes has built a host of facilities that include an impressive pavilion with a large bar area, home and away team changing rooms and wonderful spaces for the community to get together.

The pavilion has so much space that the residents of Southwater will be able to spend time with neighbours, team mates, school friends or even host a big party.

A new cricket pitch, two football pitches, two tennis courts, a skateboard park and a multi-active games court have recently been completed and are ready to be put to good use.

Chairman of Southwater Sports Club, Neil Harding, said: “Excitement is mounting here in Southwater as we open for business. It was lovely to so many happy faces last week celebrating the sunshine and our amazing new facilities.

“All Southwater residents and the wider community should come and visit soon to see all the wonderful amenities – and perhaps join one of our friendly teams – we have something for everyone.”
