Care workers awarded for service

-

Three care workers at Red Oaks in Henfield have received awards to mark a combined 75 years of service at Barchester Healthcare. Pauline Short, now senior care assistant, started at Barchester in April 1990; Sharon Haigh, now care practitioner, started in February 1990; and Louise Pocock, now administrator, started in April 2005, and all have worked with residents and their relatives to ensure that their needs have been met over the years. Louise Pocock said: “Red Oaks is a lovely place to work, it doesn’t seem like five minutes since I started and no two days are ever the same. Everyone is dedicated to the same cause, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care. The staff are more like extended family than colleagues. Compared to Sharon, Pauline and the other long service staff that work here I am the new girl, even after 15 years!”
