Poem about the coronavirus
I wondered if you’d like to see my poem:
In March this year a virus was spread
It has filled lots of people with dread
We must wash our hands without delay
Singing twice over H-a-pp-y Birthday
Old folk over 70 have to stay in
Reckon they’ll all be drinking the Gin
Seriously tho’ people have gone mad
Buying in bulk, panicking, it’s bad
Getting far too many toilet rolls
and Food, oh so greedy on the whole
Shops, pubs, schools & church are shut
A sad and worrying time is afoot
This, it seems, will last some time
We’ll all go mad, commit a crime !!!!!
We’ll have to learn new things to make
Making the days shorter no mistake All we can do is say a prayer Hoping the Lord will keep us in his care
Protect us and see us all clear
From the virus and all our fear. GWEN HOLLOWAY Tanyard Close, Horsham
