Man dies after crash on A264

A 37-year-old man has died after a crash on the A264 near Slinfold.

A police spokesman said: “At 8.20am on Wednesday (January 27) officers received a report of a two vehicle collision on the A264 Five Oaks Road in Itchingfield.”

The crash involved a silver Ford Focus and a black Mitsubishi L200, said police.

The driver of the Ford Focus was a 37-year-old man from Horsham who died at the scene.

In a statement, the spokesman confirmed the driver of the Mitsubishi was a 39-year-old man who suffered minor injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The spokesman added: “Police are appealing for any witnesses of the collision or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward and report this information by emailing collision. appeal@sussex.pnn.police. uk quoting Operation Poet.”
