Teacher Lindsay is continuing to inspire pupils

-

It’s well known that a good teacher can inspire for a lifetime. I’m sure we all have memories of a favourite who sparked our interest in a particular subject, or helped us through a difficult time.

Maybe there was a teacher who was kind and made us laugh and helped us find confidence.

Judging by the huge number of responses to our report, Lindsay Webber was loved by her pupils and their parents alike.

Her diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease has robbed the education system of her talents far too soon – but it seems her ability to give us a lesson has not diminished.

She is determined to face her illness bravely and remain positive – using the growth mindset which she has encouraged her pupils to take.

Lindsay is focusing her energy on raising awareness and making a difference – she is calling on the Government to increase funding into research into the life-limiting disease.

Let us hope that the promised medical breakthroughs can be developed in time to help Lindsay, and all her fellow MND sufferers, so she can continue to provide us with inspiration.

Here are just a few of the comments shared by you on our Facebook page:
