Becoming a grandfather and home learning - your highlights
Despite the challenges of lockdown Horsham people have been sharing some of their highlights from the past 12 months.
Forced to stay at home, limit social contacts and avoid large gatherings, our lives have become almost unrecognisable when compared with a year ago.
But despite this people have been looking on the bright side, discovering new hobbies and celebrating the joy in life.
Readers took to the County Times Facebook page to share some of their best bits from the last 12 months.
Michael Lang said: “Learning I am going to be a grandad for the first time.”
Nikki Murphy added: “We have done so much more walking and exploring the beautiful countryside we live in.”
Carrie-Ann Sandra Louise Gray said homeschooling has been her highlight. She added: “I’ve enjoyed teaching my two sons. Forest School have been amazing with their online lessons and previous to that, the work set.
“I’ve enjoyed homeschooling my youngest who has SEN. Its been a joy.”
Vikki Shelley said: “Homeschooling has actually been good for me, it’s helped me refresh my memory and learnt new things along with my kids, it’s made me a much more confident mum too!
“It’s been precious having so much time with my twins.”
Node Weller enjoyed ‘strolling on Rookwood golf course’ and Maureen Magee said she ‘just ate more food’.
Kelly Verrall added: “[I] had a beautiful baby girl.”
