Jason Riodan, 48, of Manorfield­s, Bewbush, Crawley, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on Harwood Road, Horsham, on March 7, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 41 microgramm­es. The legal limit is 35 microgramm­es. He was fined £281 and banned from driving for one year.

Anthony Simms, of Spring Copse, East Grinstead, was found guilty of failing to give informatio­n to police relating to the identity of the driver of a Mercedes vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence on August 4, last year. He was fined £660 and banned from driving for six months.

March 23:

Michael Maloney, 35, of Stephenson Way, Crawley, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a craft knife in a public place at Hawthorn Close, Langley Green, Crawley, on December 26. He was fined £180 and ordered to pay £325 in prosecutio­n costs.

Rachid Elhajoui, 40, of Clive

Way, Crawley, pleaded guilty to producing 21 cannabis plants. The offence took place at Crawley on October 12 last year. The court made a community order.

Andrei Lazarev, 27, of St Joan Close, Crawley, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW vehicle on the A23 London Road, at Horley, on November 18, last year, while disqualifi­ed from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance at Horley, on the same date. The court made a community order with a requiremen­t of 40 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for three months.

March 24:

Francesco Pecoraro, 38, of Marlow Court, Crawley, was found guilty of using a hand-held mobile phone while driving on the A23, Brighton Road, Crawley, on May 1, last year. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 in prosecutio­n costs. His driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

Nicholas Forrest, 52, of Hawkhurst Walk, Crawley, was found guilty of assault by beating, The offence took place at the Departure Lounge, Gatwick Airport South Terminal on February 23, last year. The court made a community order with a 12 week electronic­ally monitored curfew between 9pm and 9am. He was ordered to pay £100 in compensati­on and £325 in prosecutio­n costs.

Michael Andrews, 38, of Queens Road, Haywards Heath, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of an offensive weapon - a knuckledus­ter - in a public place at Budgens, in Haywards Heath, on December 28. The court made a community order with a 12 week electronic­ally monitored curfew between 9pm and 5am.

Daljit Singh, 60, of Peterhouse Parade, Crawley, was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988, at Crawley on October 16, last year. He was also found guilty of using a motor vehicle with no licence or insurance at

Crawley on the same date. He was fined £270 and banned from driving for one year.

Mindaugas Zukauskas, 24, of Wordsworth Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW on the A23, at Bolney, on February 14, while disqualifi­ed from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving on the A23, at Bolney, on the same date, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 66 microgramm­es. The legal limit is 35 microgramm­es. He pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance on the same date. He was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months. The court made a community order with a requiremen­t of 200 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 38 months.

Ethan Chiu, 19, of Arun Close, Broadfield­s, indicated a plea of guilty to destroying woodlands and timber by fire at Haywards Heath on August 4, last year, to the value of £850. The court made a two year conditiona­l discharge and ordered him to pay £850 in compensati­on.
